Grace Fellowship September Trail Ride

Grace fellowship had its monthly meeting "on the trail" at Issaqueena
Trails, Clemson, hosted by the Ropers and the Smiths (Joel & Sylvia
--Hollis & Nancy).  Fifteen riders showed up at 9:30 and after prayer we
were on the trail by 10:00. There was a nip in the air, and a slight breeze.
By 1:00, the air was warmer, but there was still a gentle breeze. To sum it
up, God blessed us with perfect conditions!  We rode until about 11:15,
taking a snack break at the Wild Cat picnic shelter, during which time the
fellowship members held their meeting to discuss next month's activity,
which will be at Pam Riddle's farm in Fountain Inn (Solid Rock Stables)
and will be hosted by Frank and Deborah Chappell.  After we'd rested and
enjoyed our snacks, we got back on the trail for another hour of fun and
fellowship. There was a mixture of breeds:  Quarter Horse, Paso Fino,
part-Arabian, and Walking Horses, and all did just fine. The pace was slow
and leisurely and the sound of voices mixed with happy conversation was
music to everyone's ears.

We had six visitors joining the group for the ride. Afterwards, several of us
stopped by a local Subway Station for food and more horse talk. All in all --
it was a perfect Saturday!

Ain't God good!!
